Grants

Upon application, economic research projects, events, publications or other scientific projects are promoted by GERO in the form of scientific personnel grants and/or financial grants.

Aids are granted under the following conditions:

  • The objective and the execution of the project meets the internationally and generally acknowledged scientific requirements.
  • The result of the promoted project helps to improve the quality of the aged in the sense of GERO's philosophy.
  • The realization of the project will not be possible or only partially be possible without independent and unrestricted grants.

An independent committee of the Academic Senate and the Scientific Advisory Board will first examine, if the incoming applications generally deserve promotion. Applicants receiving a favorable answer will then automatically be sent detailed application documents for a formal application in accordance with the GERO promotion regulations. The final decision on this application will then be taken at the next session of the Academic Senate.

Note:Formless applications directed to GERO can only be handled or subject to preliminary examination, if they are made in writing - in English or German. The applications must provide the following information:

3.2 Why can the project - in that form - only be carried through with the
      support of GERO?

4.   Costs
4.1 Costs of the project divided into personnel costs and material costs
      (material, traveling expenses, rents etc.)

GERO has obliged itself to improve medical, economic, and ecological living conditions of the aged, regardless of their race, religion, political convictions or ideologies.

You can recognize a particular object GERO - targets in the promotion of young scientists. Be awarded at the request of dissertations and master's studies, students can take part on scholarships, provided the topics are relevant to the thesis in accordance with the defined tasks of the Foundation.
